FAQ
Sling Assemblies FAQs
We engineer 1, 2, 3, and 4-leg assemblies with forged alloy steel master links. Configuration choice depends on load geometry, lifting points, and required safety factor.
Yes. Each assembly is proof tested to 2× vertical rating, with test certificates and traceability documentation supplied on request.
Yes. We can configure assemblies with wire rope, chain, or synthetic fiber legs to match the application, environment, and handling requirements.
We need the load weight, number and position of lifting points, required safety factor, leg length, hook or shackle type, and application environment. A lifting plan or drawing helps us engineer the safest solution.
Assemblies are designed and manufactured in accordance with EN 13414-1. We provide CE marking, proof-test certificates, material certificates, and full traceability for critical lifts.
As the included angle between legs increases, the tension in each leg rises. Assemblies are engineered with EN 13414-1 angle factor derating to ensure each leg remains within its safe working load at the planned sling angle.
Legs can be terminated with hooks, shackles, swivel fittings, eye links, or custom connectors. Fitting selection depends on the lifting point geometry, load weight, and required safety factor.
Retire when in doubt: Slings are cheap. The load (and lives) they protect are not. Sling assemblies combine synthetic/chain/wire legs with metal hardware — inspect both. Check master links, hooks, and shackles for cracks, nicks, deformation, or wear beyond 10% of original dimension, and examine each leg as you would any single sling. Angle-factor derating makes a damaged leg even more dangerous. Withdraw immediately if you see cuts, abrasion, chemical damage, heat marks, missing labels, or any structural deformation.
