CRITICAL: Cargo securing nets are for restraining loose or irregular cargo on trailers and flatbeds ONLY — never use for lifting, hoisting, or personnel fall protection

Check the net rated lashing capacity (LC) and mesh size before each use; verify it matches the cargo type and expected dynamic load

Inspect mesh strands, border ropes, and all attachment rings for cuts, abrasion, UV degradation, or chemical damage — a single cut strand can propagate under transport shock

Position the net to cover the entire load; never use an undersized net that leaves cargo exposed — loose cargo can eject during braking or cornering

Secure every attachment point to a rated track fitting, lashing ring, or welded D-ring; an under-attached net shifts under load and lets cargo escape

Tension the net evenly — use ratchet straps on the border rope to maintain uniform preload; slack areas allow cargo migration

Use edge protectors on sharp cargo corners under the net — flat webbing and mesh cut more easily than round slings when loaded against an edge

Comply with local transport regulations: EN 1263-1 for cargo restraint nets in Europe and equivalent national standards elsewhere

Replace immediately if mesh is cut, border rope is frayed, attachment rings are deformed, or the net has been exposed to fire, chemical spills, or molten splatter

Store clean, dry, and away from direct sunlight and chemicals; UV exposure during storage degrades both mesh and border rope strength
